Help with AxiPrep
AxiPrep Support
AxiPrep is an iPhone app for solution preparation, dilution, formulation, and unit conversion.
Get started
- Choose a task in Prepare, Dilute, Mix, or Convert. If you are unsure which task fits, search All tasks or use Step by step.
- Enter the quantities you know. Check the unit beside every value and review the task’s assumptions.
- Tap Calculate. Read the result, equation, and any warnings before using the result.
- Save a preparation record if you want to keep it, or export a worksheet for your own records.
AxiPrep is a scientific calculation aid, not medical advice or a validated dosing device. Independently verify inputs, units, results, and equipment. It does not establish compatibility, sterility, stability, or expiration.
Common questions
Why do I need to select units explicitly?
A number alone is ambiguous. Check whether a field expects mass, volume, concentration, or another quantity, then choose the matching unit. Review units again when reopening a draft or reusing a reusable-input; AxiPrep does not know what is written on your container.
Is final solution volume the same as liquid added?
No. Final solution volume means the total volume of the finished solution. For a preparation from solids, adding the stated volume of solvent does not necessarily produce that final volume. Follow the appropriate preparation procedure and bring the solution to its final volume. AxiPrep does not model volume changes caused by dissolving or mixing materials.
What work is saved?
Calculator inputs and selected units are saved locally as task-specific drafts. Reopening a draft restores inputs; you still choose Calculate. Saved preparation plans and library records are separate from those drafts. Unsaved recipe, batch-note, and reusable-input edits are not recovered after the app terminates. Save those edits before leaving.
How do I back up my work?
Open Help → Backups to export a library backup to Files. You can also enable automatic backups after choosing a folder. This option is off by default and saves dated snapshots when saved work changes. An iCloud Drive folder uses Apple’s file service; a confirmed file save does not confirm that cloud upload has finished. You can turn the option off or change its folder. Earlier files remain until you delete them separately. To restore, select a file and review its preview; this is not live synchronization. Library backups do not include calculator input drafts. An export that you cancel is not a completed backup. The app cannot verify that a file still exists after you move or delete it elsewhere. Your device backup may also contain app data, depending on your Apple settings.
What happens if my library cannot be opened?
AxiPrep can preview a valid previous local library copy or a checked exported backup. Review the candidate before confirming recovery. A previous copy may not include recent work. Recovery preserves the original library files and any existing local copy before replacement; preserved files can be exported for troubleshooting. Recovery is not a guarantee that every damaged file can be repaired.
What can I export?
Supported exports include text, PDF worksheets, batch records, PDF labels, and library backup files. Choose where to save or share them using iOS. CSV export and cloud sync are not included. Exported copies remain wherever you save or send them; deleting a record in AxiPrep does not delete those copies.
Report a problem
Email hello@axiwoven.com with:
- Your AxiPrep version and build, and your iOS version.
- The workflow you were using and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- What you expected and what actually happened.
The app’s Report a problem feature lets you write a description and preview a report containing the app version, build, iOS version, and selected workflow. Calculation inputs, including material names when present, are optional and excluded by default. The library and diagnostic logs are not automatically attached. After reviewing the report, you choose whether to save it to Files or share it. Nothing is sent automatically.
Remove personal or sensitive information from screenshots, reports, and attachments before sending them. You can report an issue without including calculation inputs.
